IBPS PO Prelims 2025 Exam Pattern

The preliminary exam was conducted online and carried a total of 100 marks. It was held for 1 hour and divided into three sections:

• English Language – 30 questions for 30 marks (English only)
• Quantitative Aptitude – 35 questions for 35 marks (available in English and Hindi)
• Reasoning Ability – 35 questions for 35 marks (available in English and Hindi)

Candidates were given 20 minutes per section.

All the questions were multiple-choice (MCQs), with one correct option. For every wrong answer, ¼ of the marks for that question were deducted as negative marking.
