The GATE 2026 examination will be conducted between February 7 and February 15, 2026, across multiple centres in India and abroad.

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati, on January 13 released the GATE 2026 admit card. Candidates can now download the GATE admit card from the official website – gate2026.iitg.ac.in and goaps.ittg.ac.in. The organising institute for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2026 is IIT Guwahati.

Candidates appearing for GATE 2026 Examination will carefully have to verify all the details printed on the admit card to avoid last minute stress on the day of the examination. The key details that need to be checked include Candidate’s name and parents name which should have no spelling mistake and match the details submitted in the application form. Any mistake in the personal details can lead to problems during exam centre verification.
Candidates must ensure that the paper or paper combination mentioned in the admit card and application form are the same.
The photograph and signature of the candidate, printed on the admit card must be clearly visible and identical to those uploaded in the application form. Candidate may not be allowed to appear in the exam if the photograph on the admit card does not match his/her identity. Details such as the exam centre, address, reporting time, session timings and important exam day instructions should be checked thoroughly.
Meanwhile if any discrepancy occurs in the GATE 2026 Admit Card, candidates are advised to immediately contact the GATE administering authority at IIT Guwahati and get the issue resolved at the earliest.
GATE will be held for a total of 30 test papers. The examination will be conducted in two sessions each day – a morning session from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM and an afternoon session from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM from 7 February to 15 February.
