KEAM (Kerala Engineering, Architecture, and Medical entrance examination) is a state-level entrance test organized by the Office of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE) in Kerala, India. It serves as the primary gateway for admission to professional degree programs such as B.Tech (Engineering), B.Arch (Architecture), and B.Pharm (Pharmacy) in participating institutions across the state. Although KEAM was once used for medical admissions, the introduction of NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) has made it the sole entrance exam for MBBS admissions in Kerala.
KEAM 2025 Engineering toppers list:
This year, a total of 86,549 students appeared for the KEAM engineering exam, out of which 76,230 qualified, and 67,505 have been included in the rank list.
Joshua Jacob Thomas secured the top position in the Engineering examination with a score of 588.5773 out of 600, while Hari Kishan Baiju and Emil Iype Sacharia, both scoring 588.5773, secured the second and third ranks, respectively.
KEAM 2025 Pharmacy toppers list:
For the Pharmacy stream, 33,425 candidates appeared for KEAM 2025, and 27,841 have been included in the rank list.
Anakha Anil has topped the Pharmacy stream with a score of 290.0000 out of 300, followed by Hrishikesh R Shenoy in second place and Fathimathu Zahra in third, both also scoring 290.0000.
Recently, the Kerala High Court nullified the KEAM exam results released by the government, which were based on a newly introduced mark consolidation formula. The court also directed that the KEAM rank list be revised accordingly.
Last week, the state government declared the KEAM results using a new formula, addressing long-standing concerns from Kerala syllabus students about mark reductions due to the consolidation process.
The petition challenging this method was filed by Hana Fathima, a CBSE student, who questioned the consolidation of marks in the rank list.
The High Court upheld the student’s argument, stating that the prospectus was altered at the final stage of the admission process.
